Dinner @ Ma Maison (Bugis)

Due to my mood was affected by an irritating person so I decided to eat something great with my hubby yesterday!

We went to our favourite restaurant called Ma Maison & it was located at Bugis Junction. They also have another outlet at Clarke Quay - The Central.

They normally will have a queue during the dinner time but luckily my hubby reached early & we managed to get a seat.

Well...my all-time favourite starter & main course are the escargots & the sirloin steak! So I ordered that & my hubby ordered the pork cutlet with rice in curry sauce. He is someone who can't go without rice! :P

They do sell other dishes like their famous hamburger steak, mussels, fruit tarts etc. Their squid ink pasta is fantastic! It is a MUST try dish!

Escargot

It really goes well with the butter & has a chewy & soft texture. *thumbs up*

Sirloin Steak
I choose the soya sauce & it really goes well with it. I chose it to be MEDIUM done & the meat was just nice. Tender & juicy! *A must try for beef lovers*

Pork Cutlet Rice with curry sauce
The pork cutlet was tender inside & crispy outside! The taste was really nice! I am sure most guys will like this dish as it is very filling. :P

Relaxing at Cookie Museum (Esplanade)

Decided to have some tea & desserts after having a heavy dinner with my lovely friends.

I love this place alot as they serve a wonderful dessert called The Melting Durian. The elegant-looking environment made me feel so relaxed. They have the Victoria style of furniture & tea sets which I love it to the max~~

They have many types of tea & I always order the one with the peach flavour. I can't remember the actual name but you may search the Peach word through the description. They have descriptions for each type of tea. By the way, please do not add any sugar as that will spoil the taste totally.

The peach fragrance really made my day! It has a light & not so sweet taste. Just nice for me!

Cake with Bailey
I don't really like it as the cake became very soggy after soaking on the Bailey for too long.

The Melting Durian
The hazelnuts really matched well with the durian! The paste was not creamy at all. Simply just durian!

Curry Rice at Pasir Panjang Food Centre

Few days ago, I asked my colleague to bring me & try the famous curry rice at Pasir Panjang Food Centre.

She told me that the percentage of guys is always higher than the girls whenever she comes. I guess only rice can satisfy a guy easily. :P

The queue was long as expected but the speed was fast when serving the food! I was very impressed! I ordered cabbage, braised pork & sunny side up egg. So, the uncle poured the curry onto my plate of rice.

I would say every dish taste good! Hees...curry was just nice for me...not too spicy. It costs at $3.50 for each plate & I really find it reasonable.

Try that for lunch next time! ^^

Black Sheep Cafe @ Little India

Another gathering with my ex-colleagues again! Me & one of my ex-colleagues were cracking our brains on what to eat previously & she found this online. We saw pretty good reviews about it so we decided to give it a try!

Before entering the restaurant, the cute little black sheep has already attracted me & I am actually looking forward to seeing more interesting stuff. :P

I love the atmosphere as it gave me a relaxed feeling & I can even chat abit louder with my ex-colleague! :P

They served 2 types of set meals & ala-carte.We decided to order both set meals to try.

Coffee Stars @ Wisma

It has been 2 weeks I have not blog about food due to too busy with my new house recently. :P

Today, I am going to introduce some nice cakes where I had it at Coffee Stars on the eve of my birthday. It was a treat from my hubby! ^^

I ordered a slice of Durian cake. The price is abit steep. It costs at $9 per slice but the durian is very rich. I really find it worth the money. As Singapore is a stressful country where most are working hard to earn more, we should pamper ourselves once in awhile by eating some nice food to relax. Desserts make us feel happy at times. Must know how to enjoy hard while working hard ya!

My hubby ordered the New York cheesecake. I am kinda surprised when I took the first mouthful. It really taste fantastic as compared to others! I really high recommend this to all the cheesecake lovers! Go & try it! You will NEVER regret! ;)

Paradise Inn @ Nex

Last month, I went to dine at Paradise Inn Restaurant with my mummy & hubby to celebrate Mother's Day. My mummy loves their food & service. Likewise to me. As she reached earlier than us, she started to queue first because it was having a long queue. While queuing, the auntie service staff started to chat with my mummy. She is really a friendly person. When my hubby & I have reached, the seat was ready for us.

We started choosing the food that we wanted & ordered immediately as all of us were starving. :P

The speed of the food arrival was fast & the taste was really up to standard. My mummy is an impatient person so their speed really meet her expectation. Haha...

Wet Napkin looks so atas :P

Kang Kong - This really taste very yummy! Such simple dish can cook till this standard. Really thumbs up!

Prawn Paste Chicken - This taste average & not that oily.

Salted Egg Prawns - This dish taste yummy if you are a salty egg lover :P

Hotplate Toufu - This is my favourite dish! It is so soft & the minced meat is really nice due to the fantastic sauce!

Cheap Japanese Lunch Set @ Ajino Mori (Holland Village)

I always pass by this Japanese restaurant but never wanted to go in as I thought that the food might be too expensive for a lunch but one day, my colleague told me that she has tried the food with my other colleagues when I was on leave and shared about the cheap lunch set. So, I decided to give it a try with her.

When I entered this restaurant, I really love the ambience! On the right side, they have seats like as if you are sitting on the floor but there is a hole below each table for you to rest your legs. On the left side, there are tables. So, customers can choose which type of seat they want. The lights are dim & I feel that it is more suitable to go at night.

They have many types of lunch sets. The prices range from $10 - $20 and most sets come with a chawanmushi, soup, fruits & small dishes like pickles & seasoned scallops which is considered quite cheap.

We ordered a Teriyaki Chicken set & it costs $10 only. We waited for about 20mins after they have finished serving a table of 10 people. I guess due to they have only one chef in the afternoon & that explained their slow service.

Hmm...the chawanmushi is not as nice as Sushi Tei...the Teriyaki Chicken is average...not that bad...I would say overall is average. We can't have too high expectations for a cheap lunch.:P
